ROV Inspection Capability

ROV-assisted underwater inspections for hulls, intakes, quay walls and hard-to-access submerged assets.

For marine and waterfront assets, KARLAB can support visual inspection scope that is difficult, time-consuming or unsafe for immediate diver access. This service is suited to first-look condition checks, maintenance planning and follow-up verification.

Typical inspection scope

  • Hull, propeller, rudder and thruster tunnel visual checks
  • Sea chest, cooling water intake, screen and grate inspections
  • Quay wall, jetty pile, berth and underwater structure checks
  • Tank, void space and confined submerged area condition review

Typical service output

  • 4K video and still image records for technical review
  • Condition notes, marked findings and location-based observations
  • Before and after maintenance verification support
  • Optional search, recovery, sonar or manipulator-assisted tasks depending on package

Reference platform

The official Deep Trekker PIVOT platform is presented as a portable six-thruster inspection ROV with USBL positioning, DVL support and real-time location tracking for stable underwater work.

Inspection hardware

Published PIVOT package configurations include 4K camera, laser scaler, quad lights, optional grabber and tether options from 100 m to 300 m depending on the selected package.

Typical use cases

Deep Trekker highlights intake inspections, search and recovery, custom sensor payload deployment and 3D underwater documentation as common operational use cases.
